Miller’s Yard

We visited Millers Yard on a very hot sunny Saturday at 2pm. The high street was busy, so we ducked into Millers yard for a pint and some food. We expected a busy bustle but sadly there were only 4 other people in the place. The menu looks fab, just what you want for snacky food to fill a tummy gap. We found a seat in the shade, this place is huge!! There is no table service, to be honest, the staff were stood chatting so not suprised. We ordered our drinks and food at the bar. Flatbreads seem to be the thing, so we had a panneer dhal and a chicken one. Food arrived quickly and bought over by the chef. Simply the wrap, no garnish, no chips, just a wrap? For a few pennies of a tenner, its not good vakue at all. No cutlery, napkins, sauces, or infact anything was offered either. The food is served in take away boxes. I get the street food vibe, but it's a bit strange when sat in a venue to be eating out of a compostable food container. It's a shame, the food was tasty, just missing value, and substance. Millers yard could be so much more, serving really sexy street food with care and love. Table service would be a big bonus, and I bet sales would increase. Not more I can say really. I hope things improve.
